Junior Portfolio Manager

Our client is a globally recognised and successful traditional asset managers for high net worth individuals and institutional clients. They are looking to add a Junior Portfolio Manager to their Zurich team. This is an ideal position for someone who is looking to develop their career within an established and successful firm. CFA is desirable but not imperative as the firm will also encourage and sponsor the ideal candidate to study for their CFA. The role is based in Zurich and German fluency is required, other languages will be advantageous.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Private Clients Relationship: To be involved in all stages of winning new business from initial inception to pitching potential clients as well as managing day-to-day relationship with existing clients

• To participate in every aspect of the investment management and portfolio construction process – from fact finding to asset allocation and stock selection.

• To create research reports for managers on all financial sectors, geographies and asset classes

• Attend meetings with external managers to collate investment opinion

• Provide timely performance measurement and client account analysis in order to offer fund managers suggested stock and fund switches and general portfolio improvements.

• Involved in all aspects of the day-to-day administration of private clients` accounts – client account opening, money laundering, CGT calculations, and updating records and systems.

• Microsoft office, advance excel, Avaloq, Bloomberg

This role is immediately active and there is an excellent salary and bonus package on offer. Switzerland based candidates preferred.
