Head of HFT Development

My client is a leading, global financial company specializing in high frequency trading. With continued growth and high profits, we have an opportunity for a C++ technical expert in the HFT space to take a high impact, high responsibility role in the New York Office. You will work directly with the CTO and a number of experienced technologists in the space, to lead the development of the next generation platform for the HFT business. Your role will encompass cutting edge design, development, implementation as well mentoring, project leading and strategic decision making alongside the business. You will utilize your heavy technical background and architect the cutting edge platform using C++, STL, Boost, Multi-threading and Networking. The role will initially encompass leading a team of technologists in New York, but with the continued growth of the firm, there will be potential to cover a global remit.

The ideal candidate for Head of HFT Development – Hands on C++Development/Architecture will possess the following skill set;

• C++
• STL
• Boost
• Linux
• Multi-threading
• Extensive experience architecting HFT platforms
• Experience with Order Management/Risk Systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Team and project leading experience

Responsibilities for Head of HFT Development – Hands on C++Development/Architecture will possess the following skill set;

• Lead the design and development of the HFT platform
• Work directly with the CTO on the strategic direction of the team
• Lead a growing team of 10 technologists in NYC
