Private Equity/ Venture Capital Trainee

Our client is a publicly-held company with shares traded at BOVESPA. The market leading Private Equity/Venture Capital Firm is working in the development of projects , Media and Telecommunications (TMT) sector in Brazil and Latin America. They are looking for a recent graduate to join their firm in Brazil. Since its development, the firm has worked to maintain interest in the capital stock of TMT companies and developments as a partner and shareholder. Its current portfolio consists of almost 20 investments including internet businesses and technology distributers.
To be considered for this position you should have:

Excellent academics in engineering, economics, business administration, finance, statistics, mathematics, accounting or related field
Interest in Private Equity/ Venture Capital Investments
Experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking or consulting or consulting with strong references will be a differential
Knowledge of financial modelling and experience in preparing spreadsheet models for company valuation purposes
Fluent in English and Portuguese
Business acumen, analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong interpersonal, communication skills and time management skills

The successful candidate will be joining the fund as a trainee, who after 8 months to 1 year of work will be considered for a full time position as an Analyst. It is great opportunity to gain experience in venture capital and progress quickly within the organization by helping to implement KPIs, conducting analysis, communicating financial information and monitoring industry trends to recommend strategies.
