M&A Analyst

Our client is a market leading Special Sits hedge fund and they are looking for a top rated M&A candidate to join their investment team London. The fund has over $1bn of AUM which they invest in US event driven opportunities with a performance track record which puts them at the top of the event driven league tables. The investment style is fundamental, bottom-up, with a buy & hold strategy and activist angle which makes their approach somewhat similar to PE firms. Whilst the firm cover a range of sectors they are looking to increase their coverage of the TMT sector.
To be considered for this position you should have:

• 2-3 years of M&A experience at a bulge bracket bank
• Excellent academics
• Experience in the Technology sector

The successful candidate will be joining the fund as a generalist investment analyst, looking at public equities across the US technology focussed sectors and working closely with the Portfolio Manager to generate investment ideas. The team has a very flat hierarchy, so this is an opportunity for a junior banker to make the move onto the buy side and develop their investment skills.
