Asian Equities small/mid cap Investment Manager

A leading and globally recognised multibillion European based fund is looking for a senior portfolio manager to assist them in building and launching the company`s quities fund to specialise in Asian small, mid and large caps. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing the investment strategy, fundamental research and risk management of the fund. The role will include leading a team to participate in marketing of the fund to investment consultants and institutional investors.

There is a high degree of freedom attached to this role – the ideal candidate will have acquired a minimum of ten years within equities space and three years within Asian Ex Japan Equities.

Responsibilities & skills:

• Head of Asian Equities desk with extensive knowledge of Asia Ex-Japan small/mid caps funds to build and manage a team based in Singapore
• Working knowledge of Asia Pacific Region
• Extensive knowledge of various Asia ex-Japan Portfolios single country funds, regional smaller companies` funds and regional small/mid cap funds) strong familiarity with many other companies in the region both benchmark and non-benchmark stocks.
• Asset allocation and risk management through bottom-up fundamental research
• Formulate investment recommendations and develop investment strategies for clients, including financial modelling to develop portfolios that maximise risk-adjusted returns focusing on companies that benefit from Asia`s economic growth
• High interpersonal skills, motivated and team player
