A leading global emerging markets bank is looking to appoint a senior FIG banker to join a well established West African & South African focused…A leading global emerging markets bank is looking to appoint a senior FIG banker to join a well established West African & South African focused financial institutions team. This group is mandated to provide a full coverage and relationship management model to a number of African banks, including transactional banking and investment banking products and services. We are looking for:
Significant FIG experience, with a good understanding of the African banks sector
Experience managing a team
Candidates with a good knowledge of the Ghanaian & Nigerian banks will be highly desirable
You will be responsible for: Maximising the overall returns and cross-sell opportunities with core African banks across the full corporate and investment banking product suite
-Developing strategic relationships with senior management of targeted core clients
-Managing core client relationships on a region wide basis
-Leading and mentoring team of relationship managers
Our client is offering the chance for a senior banker to expand beyond the traditional M&A sector into a hybrid senior role which combines technical and client facing elements. You will be one of the senior members of a successful team which is restructuring their coverage of the African markets. As one of the senior members of this group you will play a key role in the reorganised team.
